Activities > Work Orders > Setup > Manage Firm Work Order Type
Work Order Types, Sub-Types and Locations are categories created to assist with the creation and management of Work Orders.
Type- A Work Order Type is the primary category of work order, such as; Electrical, Landscaping, Fencing Etc…
Sub-Type- A Sub-Type further describes the primary work order, for example Landscaping might include mowing, weeds or dead tree.
Location- The Location identifies where the Work Order needs to be performed in the community.

Firm Work Order Types
Firm Work Order Types are set up at the Firm level and are available for all Associations to use. Further details and customization can be added at the Association level.
Step 1. Navigate to Activities > Work Orders > Setup > Manage Firm Work Order Type.
Step 2. Select Add Firm Work Order Type from the Page Actions drop down menu.
Step 3. Complete the field in the Firm Work Order Type Window.
General Tab
Title- Enter a title for the work order.
Vendors- Use this field to assign Vendors who may be used to complete this Type of Work Order. Check the box next to each possible vendor.
User Approvers- Use this field to select Users or Profiles for those who are permitted to approve this type of Work Order.
Show on Mobile- Check this box to make the work order visible on the mobile app.
Show on Desktop- Check this box to make the work order visible on a desktop.
Step 4. Click the Save button to finalize the new Work Order Type.
Association Work Order Types
Step 1. Navigate to Activities > Work Orders > Setup > Manage Association Work Order Type.
Step 2. Select Add Work Order Type from the Page Action dropdown menu.
Step 3. Complete the fields in the Work Order window.
General Tab
Association- Select the correct Association from the drop down menu.
Title- Select the Firm Work Order Type from the drop down menu.
Description- Enter a description for the Work Order.
Show on Mobile- Check this box to make the work order visible on the mobile app.
Show on Desktop- Check this box to make the work order visible on a desktop.
Step 4. Click the Save button to finalize the new Type.
Association Work Order Sub Types
Step 1. Navigate to Activities > Work Orders > Setup > Manage Association Work Order Type.
Step 2. Use the Search filters to locate the correct Association.
Step 3. Click the Pencil icon to open the record.
Step 4. Click Work Order Sub Type Tab
Step 5. Click the Add Custom Field button on the right.
Step 6. Complete the fields in the Sub Type window.
Type- This field will default to the Work Order Type chosen. Double check to make sure it’s correct.
Title- Enter a Title for the Sub Type.
Description- Enter a Description for the Sub Type.
Show on Mobile- Check this box for this Sub Type to appear on the Mobile App.
Show on Desktop- Check this box for this Sub Type to appear on the Desktop.
Step 7. Click the Save button to finalize the new Type.
Add Work Order Locations
Locations can be created to add an additional level of description to the Work Order.
Step 1. Navigate to Activities > Work Orders > Setup > Manage Firm Work Order Location.
Step 2. Select Add Firm Work Order Type from the Page Action menu.
Step 3. Complete the fields in the Work Order Association Location window.
Association- Select the correct Association from the drop down menu.
Title- Enter a Title for the location.
Location Text- Enter a longer description for the location.
Show on Mobile- Check this box to make the work order visible on the mobile app.
Show on Desktop- Check this box to make the work order visible on a desktop.
Mobile Pin Color- Select a color for the Work Order Location if needed.
Step 4. Click the Save button to finalize the new location.
