Administration > Manage Profiles
Profiles are part of the uManage permission system, and are used to limit or expand access to various pages, features and information, based on the role of the User within the company or Association. Profiles are established based on the needs of the User, such as Manager, Administrative Assistant or Accountant. Thereafter the created Profile is assigned to a new User, as needed. This makes the work of assigning access faster and more efficient.
Create a New Profile
Step 1. Navigate to Administration > Manage Profiles
Step 2. Select the Add Profile button from the Page Actions drop down menu.
Step 3. Complete the fields in the Profile pop-up window.
Overview Tab- Profile Name Section
Unnamed Field- Enter a name for the new Profile
User Type- Choose the User type from the drop-down menu.
Board - Used for board members.
Firm - This is used for internal firm users.
Gate - Used by the concierge processes
Vendor - Use for external vendors or internal maintenance staff
External Access- Allows User to add notes and approve actions (see External Access Section below)
Overview Tab- External Access Section
Add Notes - Allows the profile to add notes, can only be toggled if the External Access option is checked
Approve Actions - Toggles the ability to approve actions, can only be toggled if the External Access option is checked

Edit All Notes - Allows the profile to edit all note fields
Allow Copy - Allows the profile to use the copy functions (Ex: Copy Association)
Enable Portal Reset - Allows this profile the ability to reset portal accounts
Edit Owner Contact Name - Toggles whether this profile will have the ability to edit the owner's contact name
Step 4. Select Permissions for the Profile. To select a permission, check the box corresponding to the item.
NOTE- Categories with an arrow (triangle) include subcategories. To access the sub menu, click on the arrow to open the menu.
NOTE- Sections with an open field at the top can be searched. Enter all or part of the item you need to search the category.
Sections- This area controls which pages, tabs, and functions this Profile will have access to.
Dashboard- This area controls the information available on the Dashboard for the Profile.
Mobile App- This area controls which features on the mobile app this Profile has access to.
Reports- This area controls which reports will be visible to this Profile
Needs Attention Block- This area controls the information available in the Needs Attention section of the dashboard.
Subscribe Report and Subscribe Report Package Tabs
Use these Tabs to add Reports and Report Packages to this Profile so that Users assigned to this profile will automatically receive reports. CLICK HERE for more information.
Step 5. Once all permissions have been set for this profile, click the Save button to finalize, or the Save Add button to create another Profile.
