Learn how to add a Charge directly to a Owner Account. 



NOTE- This page details how to add a charge or charges to a single account. To add charges to multiple accounts use the Manage Account Charge page. CLICK HERE for more information.


Step 1. Navigate to Activities > Find Account or Dashboard > Account Search


Step 2. Use the Search fields to locate the correct Account


Step 3. Click the Search button to open the Owner’s Account page. 


Step 4. Click on the Transaction Tab.


Step 5. Click the Add Charge link to open the Account Charge window.  



Step 6. Enter details for the Charge. 


Overview Tab- Account Charge Section


  • Association - This field will automatically populate with the Owner’s Association. 


  • Date - Select the correct date for the charge from the drop down menu. This is the date the charge will appear on the Owner account. 


NOTE-  You can only choose a Date in an open period.


  • Amount - Enter the Total amount of all Charges being entered. 


  • Memo - Enter a Memo for the Account Charge, if needed.


NOTE- This Memo will show in the general ledger, but not on the owner's account.


  • Description - Enter a Description for the Account Charge, if needed.



Overview Tab- Account Section


NOTE- To add multiple charges, complete additional rows until all charges are entered. 


  • Account - This field will automatically populate with the Owner’s Name.


  • Trans Type - Select the Trans Type from the dropdown menu.


  • Amount - Enter the amount of the Charge.


  • NOTE- If more than one Charge is being added, create a new line for each Charge.  


  • Memo - Enter a Memo for Account Charge.  


  • NOTE-  This Memo will show on the owner's account, but not in the general ledger.



Step 7. When all charges have been entered, check the Open amount to make sure your individual entries match the Total Amount entered at the top. If all is correct, the Open Charges will be $0.00



Step 8. Click the Save and Post button to complete.

You can also upload supporting documents if needed, using the Files Tab. Click the tab and then use the Select button to find files on your computer, or drag and drop the file into the gray area.
