Learn how to integrate the 3CX business phone system with uManage. 



3CX integrates with uManage to allow incoming and outgoing phone calls to be instantly linked to Owner accounts, providing real time notation of communications. 


System Requirements

  • 3CX V18 or newer


PART 1 Download 


Download the uManage CRM template. 


Step 1. Right-click the link below and select Save Link As to download the template to your computer.

NOTE- This file will be used in PART 2, Step 4. 


PART 2  Installation


Step 1.  Login to the 3CX console.


NOTE- You must have Administrative privileges to make these changes.


Step 2. Click the Settings button from the menu on the left.  


Step 3. Click the CRM button in the Integrators section. 




This defaults to the Server Side tab where you will specify the integration values.



Step 4. In the Select a CRM Solution section, upload the uManageTemplate.xml file you downloaded in PART 1. 


Step 5. In the Query CRM field, select Always.



Step 6. Click the Test button, and you should receive a 'Success' message.



Step 7. In the API Key section, Enter the uManage Firm Auth Code


NOTE- The Authorization Code is located under Firm > Manage Firm - Integration tab.



Step 8. In the Enable Call Journaling section, Set to Checked.



Step 9. Navigate to the Contacts page under Advanced and click the Options button.



Step 10. In the Match Caller ID to a contact entry select Match Exactly


Step 11.In the Add Group, Queue or DID/DDI Names to Caller Id select Do not add.




Congratulations! uManage 3CX is now configured and ready to use.




PART 3    Configure the Web Client

This step allows the system to locate the client information and causes it to open in a new tab when a call is received.

Step 1. Open the web client.



Step 2. From the three dot menu drop down menu on the left, select Settings.


Step 3.  Select the Integration tab and set the top radio button to 'Automatically open Contact URL when CRM Integration is Enabled'. When a call comes in, this setting will open the contact in a new browser tab.         

NOTE- Alternately, you can select 'Off' which will require the user to click the card in the 3CX popup when a new call comes in.

IMPORTANT- Do not select the third option 'Auto launch a Custom Contact URL using variables'
