With eUnifyPay, only verified bank accounts are allowed to make a payment. This reduces the number of rejected eCheck payments due to incorrect bank account information.
When setting up a bank account, the owner can choose to manually verify the account information instead of connecting the bank account via online banking. In this case, Stripe makes a micro-deposit into the owner's bank account and Stripe subsequently emails the owner a link to verify the micro-deposit.
Alternately, the bank account verification can be initiated directly from eUnifyPay. Where the owner's account has a bank account payment method that is pending verification:
- A red message display at the top of the page informing them of the pending bank account verification
- A Verify button shows next to the bank account that needs to be verified. Click this link to initiate the Stripe verification process.
- Once verified, the bank account will show in the payment method dropdown when making a one-time or recurring payment
