The Event URL is used to provide a link to the online location where tickets for an event can be purchased.
Event Ticket Purchase Link
Step 1. Navigate to Activities > Ticketing > Ticket Event.
Step 2. Use Search filters to locate the event.
NOTE- Each link is specific to a particular event so it’s important that you select the correct event.
Step 3. Click the Copy URL button to copy the URL to your clipboard.
Step 4. Paste the link to locations and in the method of your choosing. In the example below, the link was pasted into the BUY TICKET text in an announcement on the community portal.
Purchase Link Options - Several options are available to make the purchase link accessible to potential buyers. When making decisions about where to provide the link, keep in mind the differences in community member buyers and general public buyers.
Member Buyers - These are ticket purchasers who are members of the community and who have an account on the Community Portal.
NOTE- If you have created any discount pricing for members, tickets must be purchased through a link on the Community Portal in order to receive the discount. Signing into the portal is the method used by the system to distinguish between community members and the general public in order to correctly provide any discounts or special offers.
General Public Buyers - These are ticket purchasers who are not members of the community and who may not be eligible for member discounts, if applicable. As such, the link can be provided to potential buyers in the method of your choosing.
