Follow these steps to delete a Recurring Journal Entry:


Locate the Recurring Journal Entry

  1. Navigate to Accounting > Financial > Manage Recurring Journal Entry.
  2. If you're unsure when the Recurring Journal Entry was added, use a broad date range. For example, start with a Start Date from the previous year.
    Note: If the Recurring Journal Entry is not found, try extending the date range further.
  3. Click ‘Search’.
  4. The page will display all Recurring Journal Entries created within the selected date range.
  5. Identify the Recurring Journal Entry you need to delete.


Deleting a Recurring Journal Entry

There are two ways to delete a Recurring Journal Entry:


Option 1: Convert to a Regular Journal Entry

  1. Click ‘Edit’ on the selected Recurring Journal Entry and go to the Recurring tab.
  2. Uncheck the ‘Enable Recurring’ option.

    

    3. Check the post date from the Overview tab and choose to either ‘Save’ or ‘Save and Post’.

Note: Once saved or saved and posted, the Journal Entry will appear on the Manage Journal Entry page. 

Troubleshooting:

  • The Journal Entry can only be saved and posted if the Financial Period is open.



Option 2: Delete Directly

  1. Once you've located the desired Recurring Journal Entry, simply click the trash can icon on the Recurring Journal Entry page to delete it.
